Divin has a complex family history. His biological father abandoned him and his sister early in their lives. His mother later remarried a mechanic who had four children of his own. Unfortunately, the stepfather was unwilling to care for Divin or his biological sister as he cared for his own children. Divin’s challenges continued in his adoptive home as he struggled with hyperactivity. This led to frequent punishment and, ultimately, expulsion of both Divin and his sister from the home.
Forced onto the streets, Divin became involved in a life of crime, influenced by older individuals who exploited his vulnerability. He was unable to escape this dangerous environment.
Homeless and exposed to harsh conditions, Divin sought refuge in begging. He endured the challenges of street life, including lack of basic necessities and safety. Eventually, the orphanage provided shelter during the day hours. However, his history of aggression and abuse of other children prevents him from being allowed to sleep at the small orphanage for the safety of others. With the hope of a larger facility, one day Divin will be able to sleep inside.
Divin’s ambition is unclear. He has a history of violence and shows little interest in learning or developing new skills. His experiences may indicate underlying mental health issues.
