David is a 9-year-old child whose life has been deeply marked by loss and extreme hardship. At the age of six, he lost his father, who was both a pillar of the family and its sole provider. This sudden death shattered the already fragile balance of the household.
After his father’s passing, the family’s situation deteriorated rapidly. David’s mother, left alone to care for three children and without stable financial resources, struggled to survive. Despite her courage and relentless efforts, she was unable to meet her children’s most basic needs. Access to food, healthcare, and housing became daily challenges.
As poverty worsened, the family gradually fell apart. Still very young, David found himself left to his own devices and forced to live on the streets. There, he experienced hunger, insecurity, and deep loneliness, deprived of the love, protection, and stability every child deserves.
Exhausted by poverty and unable to ensure her son’s survival, David’s mother made a heartbreaking decision—one driven by hope for a better future. She agreed to entrust David to an orphanage so that he could grow up in a safe environment, receive education and medical care, and have a chance to rebuild his life.
Today, David lives in the orphanage, where he receives the guidance, protection, and support necessary for his development. Despite the wounds of his past, he remains a hopeful child who dreams of a stable life, regular schooling, and a dignified future far from the streets and suffering. One day, David hopes to grow up and become a football player.
