Jules

Age 3 – male

Jules is a three-year-old child born in Shaunda, in South Kivu Province. His father was killed during the armed conflict that devastated their region. Due to ongoing insecurity, Jules fled the violence with his mother and siblings.

Without financial resources and living in extreme precariousness, his mother was unable to meet her children’s basic needs. The family became homeless and unprotected, exposed to numerous risks.

In order to ensure their safety and provide minimal care, Jules was eventually placed in an orphanage alongside his brother and sister. There, he currently receives basic support while awaiting a more sustainable solution.
